The Holiwater Project is set to perform a Live Installation – Show at the upcoming Jaipur Heritage Festival in Rajasthan, India January 20th , 2007.
The group will come together for a single performance to be staged in an empty reservoir called a ‘kund’ high above the fabled pink city around sunset. “The kund forms a fitting space to create this show , as it is almost empty it reflects the dire situation that faces Rajasthan due to the regions critical water shortage in recent years”, commented project creator and director Andrei Jewell.
The show will host local folk musicians as well as a few luminary speakers and is set to kick off around 5PM. The Kund forms a natural amphitheatre and will house an array of powerful projector units and a state of the art sound system set up specifically for the Installation-Show. Special additional content has been created and arranged for the show to reflect a desert theme.

The Jaipur Festival is a week long event running parallel with the writers fest which will see luminaries such as Salmaan Rushdie in attendance. The music fest hosts classical, folk and contemporary artists’ shows over a week of extraordinary performances by local and international acts. For more information check out Jaipur Festival
